Project Orphans Mobile App is a quick and easy way to communicate with your sponsored child(ren).

With a variety of features, you can connect with your sponsored child(ren) on a whole new level! Get frequent updates, write and receive messages, give gifts, and more. You may be worlds apart, but with the Project Orphans app, you can stay connected anywhere, anytime.

With our child profiles, you can view personal stats, learn your child’s story, stay up-to-date with their school progress, browse past and recent photos, message your child, and access giving opportunities.

Our chat function allows you to instantly share personal messages and photos with your sponsored child.

FAQs & Terms of Use

Q: How do I log in?

A: Your username is the email in which you registered for sponsorship.

Tip: Make sure there are no extra spaces when you type in your email!

Q: What is my password?

A: Your password will be emailed to you when you sign up to be a sponsor. Already a sponsor?

Check your email! We sent your password when the app launched or when you applied to sponsor a child.

Q: What if I forgot my password?

A: No problem! Open the app and select “Forgot Password” under the password field. Type in your registered email for sponsorship and we’ll send you a new password.

Q: How do I change my password?

A: Once logged in, select “Menu” in the bottom right corner of the navigation bar. Then select “Change Password.”

Q: How do I update my profile photo?

A: Once logged in, select “Menu” in the bottom right corner of the navigation bar. Then select the pencil icon next to your name and email. You can update your photo by clicking the camera icon, and update your name by typing it into the provided field. 

Q: Is my sponsor child sending me messages?

A: Your sponsor child does not communicate directly with you. During your Child’s social worker visit - our Child Advocate will share messages and pictures with your sponsored child and help them to reply or send an image back.

This method is designed to keep our children safe and ensure appropriate messages are being shared.

Q: How long does it take to get a response from my child?

A: Please expect one month for a response. Send your messages by the 15th of the month and your child will respond by the first week of the following month.

Q: I have more than one sponsored child. Once I’m in one of my sponsored children’s profiles, how do I get to the other children’s profiles?

A: Simply hit the back arrow in the top left hand corner of the Home Screen -or- click “Menu” in the bottom right corner of the navigation bar and select “My Sponsored Children."

Q: How do I learn about Uganda in the app?

A: Click on the Ugandan Flag in the top right-hand corner on the Home Screen to view the weather in Uganda, stats, and more!

Q: Why does nothing happen when I click the Ugandan Flag icon in the top-right corner?

A: This feature only works if you allow the Project Orphans App access to your location. You can update this in your phone Settings under the Project Orphans App.

Q: Why don’t I see anything under the “Progress” Section?

A: New in 2021! This year, we will begin uploading your child’s Progress Reports from school. Keep your eye out, they’re coming soon.

Q: How do I send a photo to my child?

A: Click the “Messages” icon in the center of the bottom navigation bar. In the “Write” field, click the rectangular image icon.

Tip: Make sure you “Allow Access” to your photos.
